Lords of the Pivot LLC is a Pennsylvania limited liability company (industry: educational services) operating from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is the seller of record for every product purchased through this site, including titles by other authors sold through the Samara storefront.
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By accessing this website or purchasing anything from it, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy, and the Astrology & Predictive Content Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date; continued use after posting constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to purchase from this site or to submit anyone's birth information. By using the site you represent that you are 18 or older.
3. What we sell
- Readings — personalized PDF documents (Full Natal Geometry, Year Field Reader, 30-Day Field Reader, Compatibility View, Compatibility Map) generated from birth data you supply. Readings are produced automatically after payment and delivered by email and through your order page.
- Sessions — scheduled services (Family Map, Birth Time Rectification) delivered personally after we contact you to arrange them.
- Books — physical books shipped to the address you provide.
- Free readings — limited complimentary readings available without purchase, subject to usage limits.
4. Accuracy of information you provide
Readings are computed from the birth date, time, and location you enter. We do not verify this information. An inaccurate birth time or location produces an inaccurate reading, and readings generated from data you entered incorrectly are not eligible for refund (see the Refund Policy). Where you enter another person's birth information (for example, for a Compatibility reading), you represent that you have that person's permission to do so.
5. Payment
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and are charged at checkout through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. Prices may change at any time; the price shown at the moment of purchase is the price you pay. Discount codes may be limited in number or time and may be withdrawn without notice. Shipping charges and applicable sales tax are calculated from the shipping address or billing postal code you provide and are shown in the order summary before you pay. We currently collect sales tax on orders taxable in Pennsylvania; orders elsewhere are not taxed unless we become registered to collect there.
6. Sessions
After you purchase a Session, we will contact you at the email or phone number you provided to schedule it. If we cannot reach you within [30] days at the details you supplied, we may treat the purchase as forfeited or, at our discretion, refund it. Cancellation and rescheduling terms are in the Refund Policy.
7. Your license to what you buy
When you purchase a reading, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, keep, print, and read it for your own private use. You may share it with the person it is about. You may not sell it, publish it, or use it to train, build, or benchmark any software or dataset. Readings, the Astromatics framework, the classification system, the vocabulary used in readings, the engine that produces them, and all site content are the intellectual property of Lords of the Pivot LLC and remain so after purchase. "Astromatics" and related marks are trademarks of Lords of the Pivot LLC.
8. Acceptable use
You may not: use the site for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access other customers' orders or data; probe, scrape, or automate requests against the site or API beyond documented limits; circumvent rate limits on free readings; submit false information; or interfere with the site's operation. We may refuse or cancel any order we believe to be fraudulent or abusive, and may cooperate with payment networks and law enforcement in such cases.
9. Disclaimers of warranty
The site, the readings, and all services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that readings will be accurate, complete, or reliable, that any outcome will occur, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing on this site or in any reading is professional advice of any kind. See the Astrology & Predictive Content Disclaimer below, which is part of these Terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lords of the Pivot LLC and its members, managers, contractors, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or any reading or service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lords of the Pivot LLC from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your submission of another person's information without authority to do so.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Erie County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at the address above and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least [30] days.
13. General
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the policies referenced in Section 1, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business. Notices to us must be sent to the contact details above.
Astrology & Predictive Content Disclaimer
Astromatics readings, field readers, compatibility analyses, transit windows, "activated days," rectification results, and all other content on this site are provided for informational, educational, and entertainment purposes only.
They are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, investment, or relationship advice, and are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional. Nothing in a reading is a diagnosis, a prognosis, or a guarantee that any event, outcome, or condition will or will not occur.
Do not make decisions about your health, finances, relationships, legal matters, safety, or any other significant matter on the basis of a reading. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact emergency services or a crisis line immediately (in the U.S., call or text 988).
The research described on this site reports statistical findings from our own studies. Descriptions of that research are not promises about the accuracy of any individual reading, and past results do not guarantee future results.
AI-Generated Content Disclosure
Readings are produced in two stages. First, astronomical positions and the Astromatics classification of your chart are computed by our proprietary engine using Swiss Ephemeris data. Second, the written interpretive text in each reading is generated by an artificial-intelligence language model (currently provided by Anthropic) from that computed data, using prompts and a vocabulary designed by Lords of the Pivot. Readings are not individually written or reviewed by a person before delivery.
AI-generated text can contain errors, inconsistencies, or statements that do not apply to you. Every reading states that it contains AI-generated interpretation. By purchasing a reading you acknowledge this. To produce the text, the computed chart data (not your name, email, or payment details) is transmitted to the AI provider; see the Privacy Policy.
Sessions (Family Map, Birth Time Rectification) are delivered personally and are not AI-generated.
Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy
Readings (digital, generated on demand)
Readings are custom digital products generated for you immediately after payment. Once a reading has been generated and made available for download, the sale is final and it cannot be returned or refunded, except as stated below. By purchasing a reading you request immediate delivery and, where you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that provides a statutory withdrawal or "cooling-off" right for digital content, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose that right once delivery begins.
We will refund or regenerate a reading, at our option, if: (a) we were unable to generate or deliver it within [72] hours of payment; (b) the file is corrupt or unreadable; or (c) a technical fault on our side produced a reading that does not correspond to the birth data you entered. Readings generated from incorrect data that you entered are not refundable, but we will generate a corrected reading for no fee if you contact us within [7] days.
Books (physical)
Unopened, undamaged books may be returned within [14] days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. Contact us first for return instructions. Return shipping is paid by the customer, and original shipping charges are not refunded. Books that arrive damaged or incorrect will be replaced or refunded in full at no cost to you; notify us within [7] days of delivery with a photo.
Sessions (Family Map, Birth Time Rectification)
You may cancel a Session for a full refund at any time before it has been scheduled. Once scheduled, you may reschedule or cancel for a full refund up to [36] hours before the appointment. Cancellations inside that window, or no-shows, are non-refundable. If we cancel, you receive a full refund or a rescheduled session, your choice.

How refunds are issued
Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days. To request a refund, email lords@lordsofthepivot.net with your order ID. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may be contested with the delivery records for your order.
Shipping Policy
Books ship from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, typically within [3–5] business days of your order. You will be contacted at the email you provided if there is a delay. Delivery times after dispatch are estimates and depend on the carrier and destination.
We ship to United States and most countries. For international orders, any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees are the recipient's responsibility and are not included in the price or shipping charge.
Please make sure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We are not responsible for packages sent to an incorrect address you provided, or for packages marked delivered by the carrier. Lost or damaged shipments should be reported to us within [14] days so we can file a claim and send a replacement.
Shipping is charged at a flat rate per order — currently $6.00 within the United States and $25.00 internationally — and is shown in your order summary before payment.
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Lords of the Pivot LLC, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (contact details above), is the controller of personal information collected through lordsofthepivot.net, samara.lordsofthepivot.net, and the Astromatics API.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, or health information, and we ask that you do not include such information in any free-text field.
3. How we use it
To generate and deliver what you purchased; to send transactional emails (order confirmation, your readings, shipping notices); to schedule sessions; to prevent fraud and abuse; to comply with law; and, only if you opt in, to send marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
4. Who we share it with (our processors)
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under their own privacy and security terms:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.
5. Where it is stored and for how long
Our systems are hosted in the United States. If you are outside the U.S., your information is transferred to and processed in the U.S. We keep order records and generated readings for as long as needed to provide re-downloads and support and to meet legal and accounting obligations ([7] years for transaction records). Free-reading requests are not stored beyond the request itself except in short-lived security logs. You may ask us to delete your readings and personal data sooner (see Section 7); we may retain what is required for tax, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.
6. Security
Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel by a secret key. Card data never touches our servers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of the EU/EEA and UK have the rights described in the GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email lords@lordsofthepivot.net from the address used for your order; we will verify your identity before acting. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Your permanent order page (linked in your confirmation email) lets you re-download your readings at any time. Anyone with that link can view and download them, so do not share it.
8. Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and never from children under 13. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be noted on this page.
Astromatics API — Terms of Service
These terms apply to anyone issued an API key for the Astromatics API and are in addition to the Terms of Service above.
License
Subject to these terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to call the API from your own applications. Your key is confidential; you are responsible for all use under it and must notify us immediately if it is compromised.
Restrictions
You may not: exceed your rate or usage limits, or attempt to circumvent them; resell raw API access; use API output to build a competing astrological classification system or to train a machine-learning model; remove attribution where we require it; or use the API in any application that violates law or the Astrology & Predictive Content Disclaimer above (for example, presenting output as medical or financial advice to end users). Applications that display API output to end users must display an equivalent disclaimer.
Ownership
The API, the Astromatics framework, the classification vocabulary, and the engine remain our intellectual property. You own your own application and may use API responses within it for your internal purposes and to serve your own end users.
Availability, changes, and termination
The API is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees; we may modify, rate-limit, or discontinue endpoints with reasonable notice where practical. We may suspend or revoke keys for breach, non-payment, or abuse. Fees for the current term are non-refundable except where we terminate without cause, in which case we refund the unused portion pro rata.
Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this site. If you encounter a barrier — for example, content you cannot read with assistive technology or a step in checkout you cannot complete — email lords@lordsofthepivot.net and we will help you complete your purchase another way and work to fix the issue. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and are improving the site over time.
